How can I become a quality counsellor?

Quality   Counsellors   How can I becom...

A quality counsellor can be anyone whose educational organisation (her or his employer) applies in her or his name to the Ministry of Education and Sports tender and is selected to participate in the project.

Terms and conditions to participate in the Ministry of Education and Sports tender

General terms and conditions: Legal persons that are registered to provide educational services and comply with special terms and conditions to participate in the project Counsellors for quality in adult education can apply for the tender.

Special terms and conditions for the project Counsellors for quality in adult education: organisations that run publicly certified adult education programmes can apply to the tender; they must state that during the previous years they have used the OQEA model for at least two years and that they will provide as a quality counsellor a person who has participated in the OQEA project and has at least 5 years of work experience in adult education; that they have never received public funding for a quality counsellor before or have lost the quality counsellor for an objective reason (retirement, the counsellor is not longer employed by the organisation).

Participation in the project and length

Participation in the project lasts for one year and allows the selected person to be trained to as a quality counsellor in their own educational organisation. Quality counsellors are trained in a special 32-hour programme carried out by the SIAE. In this time the educational organisation carries out different activities aimed at establishing the post of a quality counsellor.

The expected outcome of the project is:

  • a functioning quality counsellor;
  • execution of the activities to adopt and follow the charter about quality in educational organisation;
  • timely/simultaneous publishing about the course of the project on the organisation website.
