In 2007 and 2008 the SIAE prepared an extensive empirical study - within a network of the providers of formal secondary vocational education and training for adults we asked certain fundamental questions about internal and external quality assessment. The findings were to constitue one of the expert bases for planning the development of this field. We also wanted to enrich and clarify the findings from the empirical part in further discussions with representatives from some other important interest groups. For this purpose, we formed four focus groups in January 2008. The focus groups were comprised of 41 experts from education and similar sciences, economy, unions and educational programmes providers. In the publication, the themes and process of work of the focus groups are presented more in detail, as are opinions and points of view that participants shared with each question.
